Fall Staples

There are certain pieces that I think every girl has to have in her fall wardrobe regardless of where you live. My list includes a comfortable (yet chic) sweater, a beanie, the perfect riding boots, sassy booties, versatile pants, a classic trench, a chic blazer, a comfy tee and the perfect tote. I put together an extensive list of my fall favorites below (I spent many nights online shopping compiling this list… I know, my life is tough) – I hope you guys have fun shopping for my favorite season! I made sure to include both high and low price points so that there is truly something for everyone.

In my wardrobe at least, white, grey, tan and army green are classic neutrals in the fall months. I love solids but I also love adding a simple stripe or a sweet embellishment.

Beanies are a tricky thing to master – you have to find the perfect one for your head that lays just right. Some people just aren’t beanie people, which is why I included a head wrap too – I love them because if you make sure to cover your ears, they keep you nice and toasty!

I truly couldn’t live without riding boots in the fall or winter months – I wear them almost every day and they instantly spiff up an outfit. It’s such a classic accessory that requires little to no thought!

Booties are the best to turn a day-time outfit into a date-night one – you can throw on booties and automatically have the perfect going out outfit!

I typically stick to dark denim and black, but this fall I’m so tempted by all of the lighter hues that are popping up everywhere. I love metallic grey, light denim, tan and army green – plus you can never go wrong with a comfy pair of slouchy pants paired with some booties!

A classic trench is something no girl should go without. While I absolutely swoon over the Burberry classic, I also love the idea of a slouchy, oversized trench that resembles menswear. Tan, black and red are all great options!

Blazers add that polished element that some outfits just need – I throw them on over almost anything to make an outfit extra special. I love blues and blacks, especially when paired together!

I’m not going to lie, I love a classic tee. I feel most comfortable in a tee, leather pants, booties and a cool jacket. Stick to neutral or graphic tees because they go with everything and can be dressed up or down.

When it comes to bags, I’m known to be excessive. I just can’t help myself – if you’re going to splurge, it should be on a timeless bag (but that Michael Kors looks expensive at a great price)!

Packing Post | Warm Weather

Summertime is obviously the time for vacations – I feel like every other minute I’m packing a bag and jetting off somewhere (this summer I have practically lived out of a suitcase, and I’m not complaining!). Packing can be a tricky business especially when you’re only bringing a carryon, something that I definitely suggest if you’re going on a trip shorter than 5 or so days. Obviously if you’re going somewhere warm it’s much easier to carry on since the clothes are so much lighter (and tinier!). I wanted to put together 2 packing guides – one for warmer temps, one for cooler (look out for this one, coming soon!) – to assist you on your summer vacays and hopefully relieve some of the stress of traveling.

Warm Weather Packing List – 5 Day Getaway

• 5 pairs of underwear
• 2 bras (one light, one dark)
• PJ’s
• 3 bikinis (you don’t need one for every day!)
• 2 beach coverups (rotate days)
  
• 2 pairs of shorts (one casual, one nice)
• 2 lightweight tanks / tees
• 2 blouses / nicer tops
• 2 dresses (one daytime, one night)

Lusting

I don’t know what it is about summer, but it just makes me want to shop (what else is new?). In San Francisco where summers tend to be a little chillier, I’m mainly looking towards printed pants and great layering pieces. Which of these beauties would you add to your wardrobe? I’m leaning towards the white Rebecca Taylor blazer (too chic!), the Zara printed pants (I love how the legs are different prints) and, of course, that fabulous YSL clutch.

Summer Wants

I haven’t done too much shopping for myself while in London – I’ve mainly been collecting pieces for Father’s Day, my mom’s upcoming birthday and for my (very lucky) boyfriend – but that definitely hasn’t stopped me from looking! There are a few key pieces that I’m on the hunt for right now – a farmer’s market tote (with a twist), great printed, silk shorts, and either a printed blazer or pants.
