Sail to Sable

I recently stumbled upon Sail to Sable via Adored by Alex, and I’ve become absolutely obsessed. My day-to-day style isn’t too preppy, but in the summer months I absolutely love a classic, preppy tunic – especially because you don’t have to add a bunch of accessories to make it feel special, they really speak for themselves. I received this bad boy from my Sail to Sable girls last week, and I can’t stop bragging about it to friends & family – it’s just too cute!

Kule + 6 Degree Hairties

It’s been about 70 and sunny lately, and I could not be more thankful for this beautiful weather. I only have two weeks left at school + one in SF and then I’m off to London! I’m trying to soak up as much as I can of the summer weather + my USA favorites before I embark on my summer journey – I’ll be stopping at In N Out the second I land in San Francisco.

Today I opted for shorts and a tee (my go-to summer look) but because it got cloudy at times, I went with grey + black and some fab accessories to mix in with my surroundings. I recently got this lionhead bracelet from Kule + this David Yurman bracelet from my dad for my 21st, and I’ve been wearing them both pretty much every day – I just love how well they go together. Take a peek!

Giveaway | Nyopoly

Before we get to today’s (fabulous) giveaway, I have a few housekeeping items to get to… #1 – my birthday yesterday was incredible, thank you so much for all of the birthday wishes! I had a great dinner out with my man, and tonight I’m hitting up my first happy hour as a legal 21 year old with the girls. Thank you to everyone who made my day so special. #2 – due to today’s amazing giveaway, Link Love has been postponed to tomorrow. Read on!

We’ve been blessed with (a few days) of gorgeous weather lately and I’ve been taking full advantage of it – the second it gets above 65 or 70 and the sun peeks out, I throw on shorts, a summer bag, my favorite sandals and sunnies. My favorite way to accessorize in warmer temps is with fun sandals and big rings – these Jack Rogers and this Swarovski crystal ring have been wardrobe staples of mine lately. P.S. Say goodbye to these long locks… I’m chopping my hair off in just under a month! I’m also giving away the ring I’m wearing… See more info below.

Red Fever

When it comes to my wardrobe, I keep things pretty neutral. The amount of white, black and tan that can be found in my closet is truly shocking. But when it comes to summer, I like to add color in unexpected ways. When I’m not really feeling a bright blouse or neon jeans, I opt for summer scarves– they are a great way to add that summery pop that takes an outfit to the next level without being too in your face.

What I’m Wearing: Outrage Fashion scarf, H&M blouse, Joe’s jeans, Jack Rogers sandals, Bauble Bar Gold bracelet, Michael Kors rose-gold bracelet, Vintage silver bracelet.

Guest Blogger: Mia from The Fashion Pit

A few days ago, I guest blogged for my friend Mia from The Fashion Pit (you can find the piece here). I loved working with Mia so much that I had her whip up a little something for Dear Serendipity about her favorite trend for this summer!

“While searching for summer trends, I like to look for something that will be cool enough to beat the heat but hot enough to spice up your wardrobe. Undeniably, one of the hottest trends this summer is monogram! Everything from pillowcases to jewelry is being personalized this season, and there’s still time to jump on the bandwagon with this trend. Sites like BaubleBar have some truly amazing pieces that you can really make your own. One of my favorite things about the monogram trend is that no two pieces are exactly alike. Even things like iPhone cases and mugs are being personalized to perfection. With each piece specifically outfitted for you individually, monogrammed items make great, thoughtful gifts for any occasion. Also, this trend is sure to carry on far beyond just this summer. I’ve also seen brides wearing a monogram necklace with their new initials at their wedding reception; how adorable?! Whether layering necklaces or outfitting your office space, monogrammed pieces are sure to add a flirty and unique flair to your summer!” -xoxo, The Fashion Pit

Here are some of Mia’s favorite monogrammed pieces.

1. Charm & Chain Lace Monogram Ring, 2. Custom Monogrammed Navy & White Chevron Throw Pillow, 3. Charm & Chain Medium Disc Monogram Necklace, 4. Charm & Chain Mini Signet Monogram Ring, 5. Jack Rogers Monogram Sandals, 6. Preppy Monogrammed Earrings, 7. Waxing Poet Monogram Charm Letter

Thank you so much for stopping by Dear Serendipity, Mia! It was great to have you.

Outfit Spotlight: Jack Rogers

I recently received these sandals courtesy of Jack Rogers USA and I am obsessing over how adorable they are! They go with everything in my summery wardrobe, so I whipped together an outfit post showcasing 3 different ways to wear these sandals.

-Boho/Comfy-

For this comfier look, I paired my Jack Rogers with this Target cotton maxi skirt, Nordstrom BP t-shirt and Nordstrom pashmina.

-Preppy/Crisp-

For the preppier look, I paired my Jack’s with this crisp J.Crew white button down, my trusty Joe’s Jeans, my newest BaubleBar summery bib necklace, and my classic Tory Burch clutch.

-Summery Night Out-

Lastly, for my summer night on the town look, I paired these gold Jack’s with my classic white BCBG dress (old) and Michael Kors belt buckle clutch (old).

Which look is your fav? Thank you again to Jack Rogers for sending me these great sandals!
